Ballpoint notebook, England, circa 1870, set in 9K yellow gold, mother-of-pearl and turquoise, the boards decorated with friezes of leaves and flowers in turquoise and small old-cut diamonds, one board centered with a crown and the other with a numeral; the spine with turquoise and two-tone gold flowers, the interior containing a paper notebook, with an 18K yellow gold pencil compartment. 8 x 6.3 x 0.9 cm approx.
