He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and lived with his wife in the 14th arrondissement. He died in Paris in 1941. He painted extensively, notably the landscapes of the Nièvre region and the area around Saint-Léger-des-Vignes, where he owned a vacation home, as well as scenes of Paris and Langres. The Musée des Beaux-Arts in Troyes holds several of the artist’s works. To date, only a few of his paintings have appeared on the public auction market.
