Samuel GRANOVSKY (1889-1942) Seated Nude Sanguine on paper, signed and located 'Paris' in the upper right corner 51 x 62,5 cm Nicknamed the cowboy of Montparnasse because of his eccentric clothes, Granovsky was born in Russia. He painted a variety of subjects ranging from landscapes of his native land to portraits and scenes of Parisian life. The model represented here and located 'Paris' is not without evoking Kiki de Montparnasse. The artist died in deportation in 1942.
