Old red morocco in the Duseuil style, spine ribbed, title and decoration gilt, gilt roulette on the edges, gilt edges (period binding). Marginal staining on a few pages, tear without missing on page O5. A denunciation of Cartesianism by the poet Geneviève Forest. She writes: "And which wise spirit is not a vain spirit? /Descartes in my eyes has some air of Calvin. First edition of this collection of proverbs accompanied by their explanation.
