Belgium. 5 postcards addressed to Fernand de LALIEUX. Meuse - Lot 154
Belgium. 5 postcards addressed to Fernand de LALIEUX. Meuse Basin Beekeeping Society (2). Sent from GrandRy on December 19, 1898, regarding an exhibition, and sent by Joh. Dora; “[…] you will very soon receive the Italian queen that was awarded to you in the drawing of 50 queens among the subscribers of the ‘Rucher Belge’ for the current year, dated January 15, 1901. […]”; Hainaut Beekeeping Federation & Affiliates. (2). Sent by S. Thibaut, Mont-sur-Marchienne, January 18, 1900. Regarding the Paris exhibition, beekeeping section. “Exhibitors will not be required to pay any booth fees, but we would like to know whether they will be responsible for shipping costs from Brussels to Paris, as well as the costs of decorating and maintaining the covered exhibition space. We would also like to see the registration deadline postponed by 8 days so that the notice we intend to publish in *Le Progrès apicole* (25 ct) can reach our members before the deadline. […]”; Sent by the same person, August 1, 1901. “[…] I have received the Caucasian queen that you were kind enough to send me […].” A. Mees, Manufacturer, Herenthals. July 14, 1897. “[…] I haven’t yet had time to prepare for the Exhibition; in any case, I will try to keep my promise, and I ask you to register me for the Capucines hives. I will need a space 6 meters long by 1 meter wide (on the ground). It is unfortunate that manufacturers are not allowed to group all their items together; under the current conditions, it is impossible for us to properly display our products (six “Capucines d’Anjou” hives paired together).”
