FRENCH WORK Mahogany veneered desk with rectangular top covered with a glass slab later than the form, opening at the waist with a central drawer and two side drawers on a solid lateral base. Chromed metal escutcheons and tubular metal pulls (one escutcheon missing, fully re-varnished). A mahogany armchair with wrap-around back, hollowed out at the bottom, and two armrests with flat cuffs on a corner base with sheathed tapered front legs and slightly saber-shaped back legs (fully reupholstered, small dents and restorations). Seat entirely covered with beige fabric (small stains on edges).
