In-4° of [3] ff. 280 pp. Vignette to title, another as headband, and copper-engraved initial. Pastiche binding in speckled fawn calf, spine with 5 ornate nerves, gilt title, triple gilt fillet on the boards, double on the edges, wide gilt roulette on the covers, gilt edges, case lined with fawn calf (Saulnier). Rare first edition. This treaty concerns the devolution rights of the Queen of France, notably over Franche-Comté, a prelude to LOUIS XIV's conquest. Contemporary ex-dono and ms. bookplate on title; from the library of Paul LEBAUDY at Château de Rosny, with engraved bookplate. Missing from d'Aligny, and Perrod cites it only as "petit in-12". The royal arms on the title and vignette have been cancelled. A fine and rare copy.
