Marbled fawn basane, long flowered spine, fawn morocco t.p., double gilt fillet on covers, gilt roulette on edges, red edges (period binding). Copy enriched with 2 contemporary engravings on the boards, "Senatus optimo principi" and "Justitia relegata flecti nescia", accompanied by a handwritten commentary stating that these engravings "were made in the time, one of which is from the very date of the remonstrances and the other from a month later, and relating to the exile of the parliament"; they testify "to the kind of fanaticism that reigned at the time of these remonstrances." One of the engravings is stained.
