[Manuscript. Besançon]. DROUHARD (Abbé Claude François), director of the Besançon Seminary, died in 1778. [Treatise on the Direction of Souls]. [Besançon], October 5, 1759. In-4°, 277 pp. 1 blank. Basane fauve racinée, spine with 5 nerfs fleuronné, t. p. in blond morocco, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges (Binding of the period). Interesting document concerning the Besançon Seminary. A note in ink from a missionary, dated Ornans, June 23, 1861, states: "Here is the true method of direction as it was composed at the Besançon Seminary [...] and collected by Mr. Drouhard, who has put his grain of salt into it to perfect it". Provenance: Louis Antoine SELEME of Belfort, missionary, GAUSSIN, vicar at Lomont, FETEL, missionary of Ornans, who gave it to the Bibliothèque du Chapitre Métropolitain through the mediation of Abbé DENISOT, its librarian, who specified the gift made by Abbé GAUSSIN in August 1861.
