Claudius Saunier explained in 1889: "We published, in the June 1886 issue of the Revue chronométrique, a historical note on the origin and manufacture of music boxes in France, and on what the first establishment had to suffer from the 1870 gierre. This article was to have been followed by several others, but circumstances which need not be mentioned here interrupted publication. We are completing it today with the manuscript which Mr. H.
