Rare publication by a printer-publisher from Baume-les-Dames. Victor SIMON, born on August 17, 1803 in Eternoz (Doubs) to a farmer father, began his career as a merchant's clerk in Besançon, before joining the ARNOUD printing house, where he bought the business in 1830 from the widow ARNOUD, for whom he had worked, and obtained a licence to print letters on February 24, 1830. In 1832, he obtained a lithographer's licence. He ceased his activity in 1847. Some foxing; wear to binding.
