First edition. Without the 9-page Chronological Table of Charters serving as a supplement. From the library of the Marquis de BERSAILLIN, who has noted in his own hand on volume I: "Le mis de Bersaillin. 1768. deux tomes." and in volume II: "[Tome second] et dernier. Le Mis de Bersaillin. 1770". Handwritten and illustrated bookplate of Louis STOUFF, Dijon, March 17, 1921, who annotated a few pages (including I, 426), noted references at the end of each volume and left a 10-line autograph note. Louis STOUFF (Porrentruy, 1859 - Meylan, 1936), a historian specializing in legal history and medieval history, had been a professor at the University of Dijon since 1891. He left several studies devoted to Comtoise and Jura history. Corners of vol. I, cahiers A-H and N-P, are stained, but the text has not been damaged.
