First edition with a letter from the author "To my friend Georges Maillard, lawyer at the Paris Court, in faithful memory of our youthful years and of his parents. Besançon, November 28, 1935"; the second part is stamped "Hommage de l'auteur". Enriched copy with a LAS from the author to "his dear friend" [Maillard], Bollandoz, September 20, 1933. 1 p. and 3 l. in-12. He returns a decaled sketch. "Its date makes it very interesting and even more so the layout of the place". He hastens to send it back, lest he be asked for the whole bundle. He is very busy with his business and his daughter Elisabeth, who, "as soon as she is able to travel, will undoubtedly wish to return; and then here I am again on the road with my notes! But I'm holding on [...]".
