First edition of this extremely rare work on European mineral fountains, in particular the recently discovered sulfur springs at Bad Boll in Württemberg, their excellent effects and the varieties of apples and pears grown there, profusely illustrated with large woodcuts in the text. The author also describes minerals and fossils in detail. The woodcuts represent the first images of fossilized ammonites found when the spring was discovered. The book also contains some woodcuts of insects, and, in the appendix ("Paralipomena"), of fungi. The fourth part has its own title page: Historiae fontis et balnei admirabilis Bollensis liber quartus. De lapidibus metalicisque [...] in ipsis terrae visceribus figuratis [...].
